I am just writing you to report that our trip to Blumine Island with your company’s boat on the 13th November was great.
We felt like Robinsons on paradise island there.
We were afraid that local people might confuse King Shags with other species, but you skipper was a real expert and made us possible to take photos of theses rare birds as of fluttering shearwaters on the way.
Many thanks, wishing you a merry Christmas and prosperous New Year.

We travelled from Raetihi Lodge to Picton with yourselves on 15th November and shortly after picking the car realised we were missing a small rucksack, to be honest we weren’t exactly sure what was in it at that point. We popped back into your office to ask if it had been found with no luck at that point. You took our names and further trip plan.
We have got into Queenstown in the last couple of days and our rucksack has beaten us here thanks to yourselves.
It did contain some stuff that we would have missed and so it was great to see again.
However can I say a big thank you to you for your helpfulness in making phone calls on the day and more particularly for retaining our details and sending the package on.
We’ve has a great time in New Zealand and much of that is down to the friendliness and helpfulness of the people exemplified here.
Once again thank you for your help.

Best wishes
Ian and Liz Cawthorne

Dear Cougar Line,

Over the long Wellington Anniversary weekend just gone we used your company to get to Ships Cove from Picton, then back to Picton from Furneaux Lodge after walking a 5 hour tramp. Once back at Picton we waited half an hour for our next service from the wharf to Lochmara lodge.

We were very impressed with both the boats, the staff & the service we received and the service that Cougar Lines runs. We felt the prices were very acceptable as well.

Very handy being able to leave our excess packs at your office knowing they were safe whilst we were out tramping.

We would have no hesitation to recommend your company to anyone travelling that way.

Kind regards, Kim Bulwer & Miriam McKone

To Whom It May Concern:

Dear Tay, Nina and the team at Cougar Lines, on behalf of the Morpeth and Egan families I would like to thank you all very much for your excellent services during our Easter walk of the Queen Charlotte Track. Your friendly efficiency helped make the walk that much "do-able".

We were blessed with fabulous weather which helped make a tremendous " one off " family occasion, from a very new first grandchild through to two sets of grandparents. The Egans are from Melbourne and it was a great way to show them an iconic part of New Zealand.

Kind Regards, Gavin Morpeth

To Whom It May Concern:

On the 15th January I travelled from Picton to Endeavour Resort on Cougar Line. I wish to complement your company on the service provided by your pleasant staff both in your office when I phoned through a booking a few days earlier, and on the day of travel and also your staff on your “cat”. It was a very pleasant trip and everyone on board seemed happy to be there. As I would normally have travelled in our own smaller boat it was really nice to sit back and relax and enjoy a much more interesting trip to Endeavour. I would certainly recommend to others to travel with you.

Yours sincerely, April Mosley

To whom it may concern,

Recently (2nd January - 6th January) we used Cougar lines for our tramp on the Queen Charlotte Track. From the original organisation and inquiries we made with your Company to the actual trek we went on, my husband and I can't fault Cougar's organisation.

It was professional, extremely well organised, easy to follow baggage info + friendly ferry drivers. The price was very reasonable too considering the distance and baggage handling.

Thanks for this amazing experience and as we plan to bring a group of Duke of Edinburgh school students over for their GOLD expedition, we will definitely be in touch later in the year.

Once again Thanks and we would recommend your Company to anybody.

Your sincerely Liz and Ken Butt

I just wanted to say thanks - I was very pleased with your service. Luggage turned up at the right place every day, not damaged. The boat collected me on time on the final day and was very quick - got me back much earlier than the estimated time. In fact, I was back in time for the earlier ferry (the one I originally wanted to be on) so I walked over to the Ferry terminal (didn't even have to rush) and they swapped me onto the earlier one no trouble. So I was very pleased about that and very happy with the Cougar Line for being so efficient!
Thanks again.

Hi Jill,
just wanted to say a big thank you for the fantastic service that we got from Cougar Line. My family decided to bike the Queen Charlotte Track over Easter, and it was made so easy with your help. Right from planning and booking the trip, through to the efficient and friendly service on the boat, and the delivery of our bags. The weather was great, scenery amazing, the biking fun, accomodation good, and with a boat trip at the beginning and the end it was a fabulous holiday.

Thanks again, Pam Richards

I had to send you an e-mail to pass on a huge THANKS to you and to your wonderful staff. What an amazing trip we all enjoyed. Tane was terrific and full of interesting stories.

Somehow I think our fellow geocachers will be talking about this trip for a long time to come and will be asking when the next one will be.

THANK YOU again, it truly was an awesome day and not just the weather which was unbelievable.

I have been meaning to write this letter ever since we returned from our trip to the Queen Charlotte Track, but senior internal examinations have taken priority.

Now I have a little more time up my sleeve, I'd just like to let you know how impressed I was with the service we received from your organisation. Nina and the other staff were extremely helpful, dealing with all the minutiae in the most professional manner.

The girls we took on the excursion really enjoyed the trip out to Ship Cove and the experiences on board the water taxi. When one of our girls had to pull out Nina was extremely helpful in ensuring that we got back to Picton with a minimum of fuss and that all our luggage for the other party members got back to the ferry terminal.

In addition, i had managed to leave maps etc at the ferry terminal in Wellington and your company got them out to us at Resolution Bay that same evening.

All up, we had a really great introduction to the Sounds through your company's excellent service, so thank you very much. We will certainly recommend Cougar Line to anyone else planning sounds ventures.

Hello Marion,

We are now back home in England. Just wanted to say that we thought the standard of service provided by the Cougar Line was excellent. We used the service to travel to/from Punga Cove Resort and for various drop off/collections whilst we were walking parts of the Queen Charlotte Track. Everybody, both back at base and on the boats, was so helpful and friendly. We witnessed a level of customer service that - sadly - seems to be so often lacking here in the UK these days. There was one guy in particular whose name escapes us at the moment (very thin, wiry & fit!) who seemed to do the 9.30am pick up service from Punga Cove; he was really outstanding. He had amazing energy, was patient, friendly & helpful. He carried bags, answered questions, seemed immediately alert to anyone who might be feeling a bit queasy and appeared to be doing the work of at least 3 people all at once!

On arrival in New Zealand one of our bags was missing and was eventually delivered to us (by the Cougar Line) while we were at Punga Cove. For this were are also very appreciative.

Thank you to all of you in the team and we look forward to our next holiday in New Zealand.

Best wishes,
Jane & Iain Lobban
