Attracting
walkers of all ages our well-maintained track and Marlborough’s climate allows for good year-round walking conditions. A stay on the Queen Charlotte Track can take as many days as you want (most hikers tend to choose a four day / three night option).
Round Trip Track Pass for independent hikers
The Round Trip Track Pass is the easiest and most economical way to walk the Queen
Charlotte Track. This ticket will take you to any entry point on the track and return you from any
exit point.
Included in this pass is a free transfer across Endeavour Inlet from Furneaux Lodge to Punga Cove and
the free transfer of your luggage to your accommodation along the way. You need only carry a day-pack as you enjoy the spectacular Queen Charotte Track each day!
Packaged & guided walk options
In association withThe
Marlborough Sounds Adventure Company we offer a packaged walk with standard or luxury twin-share
accommodation, boat transfers and daily lunches included. This is the popular 4 day Freedom Walk.
Track Distances & walking times
The table below shows suggested walking times and is intended as a general guide only. The stated
times do not include stops for rests, refreshments or photos - please add on an allowance for these.
At these points along the track there is access to the Queen Charlotte Sound. This allows sections of
the Track to be missed out by taking boat transfers (extra charges apply). You can finish your walk
at any of these points and take the boat back to Picton.
