Kaipupu Sanctuary is a conservation project that Cougar Line supports. Located just out of Picton, the sanctuary is protected and only accessible by a short boat ride. After years of hard work largely by volunteers, the sanctuary is home to an increasing number of rare native birds and lizards, and beautiful regenerating native forest.
Do the bush walk around the sanctuary, look for little blue penguins in their nesting boxes along the track, and soak in the beautiful views across Queen Charlotte Sound/Tōtaranui, before we pick you up again at the jetty.
