Established in the early 1990s, Cougar Line was purchased by the locally-owned Marlborough Tour Company in 2018. Marlborough Tour Company Group also owns Furneaux Lodge and Punga Cove in Endeavour Inlet, along with Pelorus Mail Boat in Havelock.
